EVChargeBase publishes free calculators and educational articles about home electric-vehicle charging. All content is general information for U.S. readers. It is not electrical, engineering, legal, tax or financial advice, and it does not replace a licensed electrician, your local permitting authority, your utility or a tax professional. 2. Calculators and Estimates
Our calculators (charging cost, charging time, and amp & breaker sizing) run in your browser and produce estimates based on the values you enter and simplified assumptions such as charging efficiency and average electricity rates. Results are approximations. Your actual costs, charging times and electrical requirements depend on your vehicle, charger, utility rate plan, home wiring and local code. Always have a licensed electrician confirm circuit, breaker and wire sizing before any installation.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms;
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or its data;
- Scrape, copy or republish substantial portions of the Site’s content without written permission;
- Click on advertisements artificially or encourage others to do so, or otherwise generate invalid ad traffic.
4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise noted, the text, calculators, graphics and layout of the Site are owned by EVChargeBase and protected by copyright. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original page. Product names, logos and trademarks mentioned on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

The Site is supported by advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are clearly separated from editorial content and do not influence what we write.
